Idocrase is the gemmy version of Vesuvianite, which is a fairly rare gemstone. This mineral forms as a result of contact metamorphism, where incredibly hot fluids mix with the host rock and create new minerals. Idocrase can occur in a variety of different colors; however, the jade-like green version is the most sought after color.

This gemmy idocrase is from Kenya and has great color when wet or sealed with resin. It would be a great addition to your jewelry, art, and metaphysical projects if you are looking for something that is unique and one of a kind.

Our crushed coarse material is considered to be pea-sized gravel, ranging between 4 millimeters to 2 millimeters. This size is great for decorating candles, embellishment designs, orgonite pyramids, large woodworking voids, resin art, and metaphysical projects.
