Aventurine is a type of quartz that has many micaceous minerals (mica) included within its crystalline structure. This red aventurine is from Canada and has numerous shimmery mica and iron oxide inclusions. When crushed, the mica inclusions are much more prominent, making the powder look like natural rock glitter. This material has a lovely shimmer!
▏MATERIAL ⧫ SIZE▕
Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles (<0.25mm). Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Powdered minerals are great for filling in small cracks or voids, resin art, and creating textured paints and pigments.
