  • Details
This material consists of kyanite and ruby with minor amounts of green fuchsite and silvery muscovite. This beautiful, high-pressure metamorphic rock came from India, where high-pressure plate tectonics rule. This is a RARE offer and the pictures do not do this mix justice! Ruby is a relatively dense mineral, therefore, this material is sold by the ounce instead of the usual 1/2 ounce starter bag.

    Material Size:
Medium - material is considered to be medium to fine (sand), ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters.

Stone authenticity is extremely important to all artisans; therefore, we validate the source of all our minerals before they are crushed. All of our minerals are handpicked by me (Missy) at some of the largest mineral shows in the United States.

Please see product images for color, approximate size, and quality. Stone is wet in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th photos. Stone is dry in the 2nd and 5th photos. Measurements are using the metric system (millimeters).

    Frequently Asked Questions

My tracking says delivered, but I did not receive my order?

Makers Minerals ships all orders with a tracking, including to locations outside of the United States. Our customers can follow their order using the tracking number that we always provide or through the Etsy app. Please contact your postal provider if you did not receive your package, especially if your tracking says "delivered". If you reside in the United States, we are happy to help you locate your package by calling your local USPS and getting GPS coordinates for your package and/or submitting a claim stating that your package might have been misplaced or stolen. Makers Minerals is not responsible for packages that were marked as "Delivered" by your postal provider.

What is the difference between mineral chips and crushed minerals?

Mineral chips are usually tumbled to slightly tumbled pieces that can range in size and shape. Most shops buy mineral chips from a wholesaler (usually China) and then resell them on ETSY or elsewhere. They are rarely curated or tumbled by the actual seller.

Crushed minerals are very different! They are not mass produced or offered at wholesale. Usually, the seller (myself) hand picks the material to be crushed; therefore, they can control the quality of the end-product.
